“Denys brings adventure to her yoga classes. You will do things in her class that you never thought you would or could. She keeps it fresh, spiritual, uplifting and is always a great workout, leaving you feel refreshed. I’ve had the great opportunity to work with her for many years. She is a ray of light and such a joy to know.”- Michelle G.
“I cannot believe how amazing and restorative the yoga class I took today was! Thank you, Denys Morgan, for being such a wonderful teacher and helping me feel like a million dollars. Your knowledge and expertise are so appreciated. I feel so at peace.” - Nicolasa G.
“I didn’t always love yoga. It took me several attempts to really “get it”, but once I happened upon an awesome teacher, my whole world changed. Now, I wish I could find the time to practice every day. Today, I conquered my fears and did my first headstand assisted by the fabulous Denys Morgan.” - Suzanne H.
“Denys is my all-time favorite yoga instructor in town and a radiant beautiful loving soul. Every class is exactly what I need that day. Sometimes it's restorative and other days it's flow and creative movement. There is always an element of mindfulness, breath work, and devotion. I've learned so much from Denys - Bhakti yoga, Osho workshops, Kundalini, breath work, kirtan and the power of Bija and mantras.” - Nicole C.
“Denys has been my yoga teacher as long as I have lived in Cleveland - - my best “find” who has become a friend (I think she does that with everyone!). In class, she always meets you where you are and her patter is like none I’ve ever heard - - educational and spiritual at the same time – it‘s perfect!” - Muriel L.
Yoga Teacher Trainings
“My experience with Denys in the 2015 Ananda Bhakti YTT training was transformative and deeply nurturing. Her comprehensive instruction and support kept me engaged and inspired well beyond graduation. Denys is a one of a kind person with a brilliant heart. She is a servant leader and dutiful teacher.” - Jeanne
“I truly can’t recommend Denys enough… as a teacher, a friend, an inspiration. I first met her at a Kundalini class she was teaching and instantly gravitated to her style. Organized, insightful and even a bit playful. When I heard she was leading a YTT I knew I had to sign up! I had toyed with the idea in the past, but never made the commitment.
Her program was exceptionally organized and she found ways to teach that were creative and memorable. I truly appreciate that every aspect of yoga and a yogic lifestyle were taught, not just asana. She instilled the love of learning and a sense of community that expands well beyond our time in YTT.
I think of her as a life-long mentor and continue to explore and study what she had introduced and presented during our time together. As I teach and meet other teachers that struggle with sequencing and cuing or never heard of the Bhagavad Gita nor many aspects of 8 limbs of yoga, I am forever thankful that I met her and completed her training.” - Gina F.
Healing Modalities
“I have been a client of Denys’ for more than 20 years and the experience has spoiled me. No other massage therapist can compare. Her unique approach, using a number of techniques and longer sessions, works! She is constantly evolving and changing her technique, based on best practices and what the individual client needs. She talks though your issues first —it’s not about time, with Denys, it’s about results. She devotes whatever it takes to smooth out the knots to her satisfaction and you go away feeling longer, looser, more open. Her hands heal.” - Connie L.
“Denys is always so diligent in making sure that I have a great experience and leave feeling relaxed. Her approach of energy work along with an excellent massage technique would be so hard to find elsewhere. She's just the best!” - Paula C.
“I have been getting massages from Denys for many years. The trials and tribulations change over time, but life is just hectic. Currently, I am juggling being a new wife, a new mom and a startup founder. Needless to say, it's very taxing physically and mentally. Denys's massages are critical to my well being. She uses several different modalities to give my body and mind what I need. She is selfless and intuitive and I always leave feeling like a new person. It's hard to find someone who knows so many different techniques and mixes them all up for best results. My mother and husband are now her clients as well!” - Prerna K.
"Seeing Denys for a massage is a magical and highly therapeutic experience. Not only does she untie the painful muscle knots, but her massage opens up the energy channels that make your body feel limber and fluid again. I've been a happy client for 20 years and can confidently testify that Denys is the most highly qualified massage therapist you can find." - Allen B.
Retreats
“I went to India with Denys in 2010. I did the YTT and was steeped in the culture of India at a lovely beach resort in Goa and loved the authenticity and teachings presented by Denys and others which included asana practice, and various teachings of spirituality including OSHO, and Ayurveda. The food was prepared onsite at the resort and was fresh and delicious. Ayurvedic treatments were offered by local residents to calm and connect body and mind. We experienced different outings to local markets and events. In the end we graduated our teacher training with the sacred ceremony conducted by Brahman priests to seal in the teachings. Some students stayed on after the YTT was over to travel around India and see the sites such as the Taj Mahal and other sacred places. Overall it was one of the best travel experiences of my life. One that I truly treasure in my memory. I highly recommend this trip and hope to someday return with Denys for another trip.” - Evin F.
“Gather twenty near strangers of different paths and interest in an Ayurvedic retreat with a view of the Arabian Sea for a yoga retreat and….. True delight, experiencing beautiful, expansive people both on the excursion and the local community, get a glimpse of one of the oldest and richest cultures in the globe, eat amazing food, learn facets of yoga outside of your chosen practice and come home invigorated, healed and ready for life.” - Paul H.
“Denys was a teacher of mine during weekly practice and monthly kirtan for many years. When the opportunity to do an ayurvedic yoga retreat in Mother India with Denys popped up, I paid my deposit immediately and did not look back. I made the right decision. There are various forms of yoga and Denys has focused her practice and teachings on the energetic form of yoga called Bhakti which is devotion to the divine, one of the three outlined in the Bhagavad Gita. This includes dance, chant, and movement of all kinds surrendering to unconditional love.
And did we sweat in the South Indian sun with the wild Arabian Sea as the metronome of our practice? Yes, we did! The site selection was excellent as well with profound bodywork at the hands of women that I would not call tender but I certainly would call filled with Bhakti - a love for you, me, and everything.
You will not just feel the love on a Denys Morgan retreat, you will be one melding and exalting the divine into your heart in an ecstatic flow of thoughts, feelings, and movement. Denys knows many forms of Asana and incorporates those into her devotion practice. As a massage therapist herself, she is uniquely aware of the body as well and how to adjust and activate various areas through yogic practices. I was never the same after this retreat and I never will be again. And that is a good thing.” - Karen G.
“I had the good fortune to go on a yoga retreat to India with Denys. I loved everything about it. The yoga, of course, and the accommodations. We were just a few steps from the beach and the food was fantastic. All vegetarian and fresh every day. Denys made the trip so easy. We took a couple of day trips by cab with our personal chauffeur. This is a trip I will never forget.” - Mary S.
“I was a proud member of the yoga teacher training program that Denys Morgan facilitated in 2017. My experiences with the group led me to take part in the adventure to travel to India in 2018. Both the program and the trip to India changed my life in more ways than this couple of paragraphs could ever sum up. After a grueling 9 months of yoga training classes, to be able to go to the Motherland - where it all began - rounded out my education and prepared me to help others with my new found love of India. It really paid off for me! I came back home a more balanced individual and was then able to move forward into teaching yoga and found my new life partner with whom I have continued to practice and have her with me in my yoga life. The upcoming trip should be wonderful, full of education, experiences and amazing weather and the Arabian Sea! Don’t be surprised to meet my wife Ann and I on your upcoming voyage.” - Leo W.
